Courtney is a freelance wine writer whose first book, "Hip Tastes: The Fresh Guide to Wine," was published October 4, 2007 by Viking Studio, part of Penguin Group (USA). The book is the recipient of the 2007 Georges Duboeuf Wine Book of the Year award and the San Francisco Chronicle enthused that owning it is like having "a sommelier in your pocket." Courtney is also the lead writer for popular wine travel portal WineCountry.com and her work has appeared in Maxim.
